Liberty had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Heritage Patriots as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Bison, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Liberty never let Heritage on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 26-24.

Liberty's offense was headlined by Shawn Dalumpines and Somuandina Igwedinma, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ashtyn Collier and his 20 assists. Igwedinma was also a major player on defense: he and he shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with nine each.

Liberty's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Liberty will be taking part in a tournament against Yucaipa at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage, they will welcome Orange Vista at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
