Basketball Recap: Kaylin Young's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech over Windsor

Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech lost against Windsor back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons took a 24-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windsor Dukes. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaylin Young, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Young a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Crawley, who posted eight points and three steals.

Mariah Stephenson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten steals for Windsor.

Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Windsor, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 35-14 victory against Surry County on the 28th. Windsor has also already played their next game, a 38-24 win against Southampton on the 29th.
