Baseball Game Preview: Big Bear Bears vs. University Prep Jaguars

For the second straight game, Big Bear will face off against University Prep. The Bears will face off against the Jaguars at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Big Bear is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Big Bear took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against University Prep by a score of 12-7. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Zen Sisson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Mason Ledesma was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chase Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
