Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Warriors vs. Jefferson Democrats

The Cleveland Warriors will head out to challenge the Jefferson Democrats at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Cleveland strolled past McDaniel with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 64-25 win over the Cardinals. The Democrats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Cleveland, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Cleveland ended up a good deal behind Jefferson in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 65-46. Can Cleveland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
