Lovelady has gone 8-2 against Grapeland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Lovelady will head out to square off against Grapeland at 7:00 p.m. Lovelady is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lovelady took on Centerville on Friday. Lovelady lost 13-3 to Centerville. The Lions have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Lovelady saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Gilchrist, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles Gilchrist has posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Grapeland's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Centerville on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Sandies were not able to get on the board.

Lovelady's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Grapeland, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Lovelady took their victory against Grapeland in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lovelady since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
