Londonderry begins as the Granite State's team to beat following its first title since 1998.

High school football in New Hampshire kicks off Sept. 4. In preparation for openers around the Granite State, we size up the contenders with a look at the state's top 25 teams across all four classifications.

Londonderry enters as the team to beat after capturing the program's first state championship since 1998. The Lancers ride a 12-game winning streak into 2020.

Two additional defending state champions which enter as favorites to repeat are No. 2 Hollis-Brookline (Hollis), which captured the Division II state title, and No. 4 Trinity (Manchester), the reigning Division III championship.

Also in Division III, last year's state finalist Lebanon begins the season with lofty expectations as they round out the Top 5.
