Football Recap: Crestwood Takes a Loss

Crestwood lost against Wilkes-Barre back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Comets were dealt a 35-7 defeat at the hands of the Wolfpack. The Comets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Jaden Shedlock threw for 33 yards on five of 12 attempts. On the ground, Matt Bella rushed for 104 yards on only ten carries.

JAKE HOWE continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Wilkes-Barre, throwing for 131 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 31 yards and one score. HOWE's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wolfpack's success: the team is 5-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Crestwood now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Wilkes-Barre, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Crestwood will head out to face off against Wyoming Valley West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wilkes-Barre, they will welcome Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: HOWE and Tevin Williams.
