Pope County is a perfect 10-0 against Carrier Mills-Stonefort since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m.

Pope County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Galatia/Thompsonville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pope County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Presser, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Bella Fasolo, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Carrier Mills-Stonefort can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Dongola. The Wildcats not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 21-11).

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-9. As for Pope County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Pope County came out on top in a nail-biter against Carrier Mills-Stonefort in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
