Basketball Game Preview: Montrose Rams vs. Mt. Morris Panthers

The Montrose Rams will face off against the Mt. Morris Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Montrose is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Ovid-Elsie just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 47-37 to the Marauders. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mt. Morris didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lakeville on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win.

Mt. Morris has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for Montrose, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Montrose beat Mt. Morris 43-36 in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
