Northview Academy and Seymour are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Northview Academy turned things around against Grainger on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grizzlies, sneaking past 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since March 13th.

Meanwhile, Seymour came up short against Muhlenberg County on Thursday and fell 9-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miller Elijah was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Reece Wilson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Northview Academy, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-13.

Northview Academy took their win against Seymour when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
