Football Recap: Colleton County Takes a Loss

Colleton County extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They had to suffer through a 46-14 loss at the hands of the Hilton Head Island Seahawks. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-7.

As for Hilton Head Island, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points over those games.

Thaddeus Czarnecki had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 78 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Hilton Head Island also got help from Tajae Wright, who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.

Colleton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 55-0 loss against Bishop England on the 31st. As for Hilton Head Island, they have also already played their next matchup, a 53-20 victory against Beaufort on the 31st.
