After flying high against The Meadows School last Tuesday, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon came back down to earth. The Pirate lost 3-0 to the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirate in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

While Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Sierra Vista on the 10th. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, they will square off against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
