Soccer Game Preview: Rowan County vs. East Carter

The Rowan County Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the East Carter Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rowan County will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Thursday, then bounced right back against Estill County on Monday. The Vikings' defense stepped up to hand the Engineers a 7-0 shutout. Considering Rowan County's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, East Carter hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Blazer. The win continues a trend for East Carter in their matchups with Blazer: they've now won three in a row.

East Carter's record now sits at 5-0-1. As for Rowan County, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.
