Basketball Recap: Pitt County P Comes Up Short

Pitt County P lost against New Bern Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pitt County P Pacers had to suffer through a 62-19 loss at the hands of New Bern Christian Academy. The game marked the Pacers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Pitt County P saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landon Pike posted 12 points.

Pitt County P dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for New Bern Christian Academy, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Pitt County P wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-21 loss against Greenville Christian Academy on the 16th. As for New Bern Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-45 win against Fellowship Baptist Academy on the 13th.
