Volleyball Game Preview: Kankakee Kays vs. Thornridge Falcons

The Kankakee Kays will head out on the road to square off against the Thornridge Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kankakee will be strutting in after a victory while Thornridge will be coming in after a defeat.

Kankakee took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Crete-Monee by a score of 2-0.

While Kankakee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Thornridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bloom.

While Thornridge ultimately came up short, they really made Bloom work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 26-24.

Thornridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Kankakee, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season.
