Softball Game Preview: DeSoto County Bulldogs vs. Bonita Springs Bullsharks

The DeSoto County Bulldogs will take on the Bonita Springs Bullsharks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

DeSoto County took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Hardee 11-10.

The team relied heavily on Jada Jones, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Ellie Whidden was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Bonita Springs got the win against Dunbar on Thursday by a conclusive 24-3. The victory continues a trend for the Bullsharks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

DeSoto County's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1. As for Bonita Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
