Volleyball Recap: Sanderson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against East Wake on Monday, Sanderson came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Holly Springs Golden Hawks on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-12.

Anna Kate Spangler paced Sanderson's offense, picking up four kills. Spangler were helped by Ainsley Botts and Sydney Worrell, who contributed four assists each. Ryleigh Roche controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Ashley Diebler, who had 13 assists and three aces.

Sanderson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Holly Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Sanderson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Cardinal Gibbons on the 9th. As for Holly Springs, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Felton Grove on the 9th.
