Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Orleans put the hurt on New Albany with a sharp 11-3 victory. Orleans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Izzie Rutherford made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Elizabeth Mahan was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Chelsea Ralph was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Orleans' record now sits at 16-5. As for New Albany, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-13.
