Softball Recap: McAllen Takes a Loss

McAllen started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

McAllen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giada Farias, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

McAllen now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McAllen will face off against McAllen Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, they will square off against Sharyland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
