Basketball Recap: North Hopkins Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

North Hopkins lost against Cooper back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Hopkins Panthers took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cooper Bulldogs.

Cooper found their leader in sophomore Marilynn Wilkerson, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilkerson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leddy Murray, who posted ten points and eight assists.

North Hopkins' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for Cooper, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

North Hopkins is taking a road trip to take on Cumby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cumby's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so North Hopkins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cooper, they will welcome Yantis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cooper is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
