Volleyball Recap: West Valley Starts off Right with Win over Woodcrest Christian

West Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Woodcrest Christian Royals by a score of 2-0.

While West Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21.

Leading West Valley to victory were Kamryn Hubbell and Sheiann Rosales. Hubbell had five kills, four digs, and three aces, while Rosales had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Rosales has posted since back in September of 2024.

West Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against San Jacinto on the 9th. Hopefully Woodcrest Christian paid attention to the Mustangs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
