Basketball Game Preview: Marquette Defenders vs. Lisbon Lions

Marquette and Lisbon are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Marquette Defenders will be playing at home against the Lisbon Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lisbon is facing Marquette at the wrong time: Marquette suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost 52-31 to the Wildcats. The match marked the Defenders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lisbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 63-31 loss at the hands of North Linn. Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Marquette, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.
