Volleyball Recap: Virginia City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Virginia City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sage Ridge Scorpions. The Muckers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scorpions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Virginia City wouldn't go down easily and took Sage Ridge into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 18-25, 15-13.

Virginia City's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Sage Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coincidentally, Virginia City and Sage Ridge will both be playing Mineral County the next time they take the court. The Scorpions will head out to face the Serpents at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Muckers will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
