Softball Recap: Hillhouse Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bassick

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hillhouse). They blew past the Bassick Lions 22-3 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Academics, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hillhouse's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Bassick, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Hillhouse will head out on the road to challenge Wilbur Cross at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Governors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.2 runs per game on average), something the Academics will no doubt try to take advantage of. Bassick will be paying especially close attention to Hillhouse's game: after Hillhouse faces off against Wilbur Cross, they'll take on Bassick again at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
