Dixie County can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Taylor County Bulldogs by a score of 7-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-8 back in March.

Raylyn Buchanan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tearra Collins, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jaciee Brown, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Dixie County's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Taylor County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Dixie County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Union County at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Taylor County, they will challenge Rickards at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
