Volleyball Recap: Leyden Takes a Loss

Leyden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Niles North Vikings. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Leyden's offense was headlined by Daniella Sarnecke and Julia Radziszewski, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Kasia Wadolkowski and her four assists.

Leyden's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Niles North, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Leyden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Buffalo Grove on the 3rd. As for Niles North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Glenbrook North on the 3rd.
