Don't expect to see this at Rio 2016 track and field competition.

We're not sure if track and field's global governing body (IAAF) would approve, but it was good to see the Fairfax (Va.) girls 4x100 relay team having a little fun last week.

Instead of using the standard relay baton, the Rebels switched things up and used a much more cumbersome high jump bar.

They still won the race.

"It was actually senior night and we wanted to do something fun and just have a blast that night," senior Te'Ona Witherspoon told LetsRun.com. "And we were just like, ‘What's something different that other teams don't really do?' And we were like, ‘Let's run a 4×1 with a pole.'"
