Bamberg-Ehrhardt and Hampton County are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Red Raiders will take on the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Bamberg-Ehrhardt didn't have quite enough to beat Branchville and fell 5-4. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hampton County didn't have quite enough to beat Bridges Prep on Friday and fell 5-4.

Hampton County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malik Terry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Terry also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Owen Shaffer was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hampton County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Bamberg-Ehrhardt skirted past Hampton County 17-16 in their previous meeting back in March of 2020. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
