Baseball Game Preview: Central Bears vs. Hernando Leopards

Central hasn't had much luck against Hernando recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Central will challenge Hernando at 7:00 p.m. Central's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Hernando's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Central's offense. They lost 10-0 to Pasco on Wednesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Bears, who until this match were averaging 4.06 runs allowed.

Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Warren, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Jordan Lendo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Hernando posted their closest win since March 4th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Bishop McLaughlin Catholic 8-6.

This is the second loss in a row for Central and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Hernando, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Central couldn't quite get it done against Hernando when the teams last played on Tuesday as they fell 4-1. Can Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
