Volleyball Recap: Noblesville Millers vs. Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles
Noblesville and Guerin Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Noblesville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Millers haven't had much luck with the Golden Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Gael Esqueda paced Noblesville's offense, picking up 12 kills. Esqueda got some help from Sam Wolf and his 32 assists. Anas Sakkah controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Noblesville's loss dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Guerin Catholic, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-19.
Noblesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Guerin Catholic, they will take on Peru at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
