Baseball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Liberty can now relate to. They fell just short of the Buchanan Bears by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Liberty saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Guevara, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Buchanan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-4.

Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buchanan, they will be playing at home against Bakersfield Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.2, the Eagles 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
