Softball Game Preview: Eminence Warriors vs. Trimble County Raiders

Eminence is 1-9 against Trimble County since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Eminence has given up an average of 19.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eminence is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 40th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 16-1 to Danville Christian Academy.

Trimble County never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Whitefield Academy on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 15-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won seven matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Trimble County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Eminence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

Eminence suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Trimble County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
