Volleyball Recap: Coastal Christian Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

Coastal Christian won the last time they faced Cape Fear Academy and Pasey Hodges did her part to make sure it happened again. The Centurions walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes on Thursday for which the team can thank Hodges, who had 37 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Coastal Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Cape Fear Academy still got an impressive performance from Kate Hancock, who had 21 digs.

Coastal Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Cape Fear Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Coastal Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cape Fear Academy, they will welcome Fayetteville Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
