Softball Recap: Penn Manor Starts off Right with Win over Lower Dauphin

Penn Manor gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the Lower Dauphin Falcons. The victory was some much needed relief for the Comets as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

The team relied heavily on Amelia Trout, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Mia Skiadas was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Coincidentally, Penn Manor and Lower Dauphin will both be playing Mechanicsburg the next time they take the field. Penn Manor will head out to face Mechanicsburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lower Dauphin will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
