It was a good run, but The Eastchester Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a rough 35-14 loss at the hands of Somers. While losing is never fun, Eastchester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Somers is ranked seventh).

Mason Kelly was his usual excellent self, rushing for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Somers also got help from Dean Palazzolo who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.

Eastchester's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Somers, their victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Eastchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Somers will take on Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
