Volleyball Recap: Hamilton's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Hamilton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Temecula Prep Patriots by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Kaitlynn Barreto paced Hamilton's offense, picking up six kills. Barreto got some help from Laura Palma Vega and her nine assists. Finally, Nyomi Tuxson kept Hamilton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Temecula Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against California Lutheran on the 16th. As for Temecula Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Banning on the 13th.
