St. Frederick had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They never let the Franklin Parish Patriots get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly seven runs.

The result came thanks to CARTER SHEPARD's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Frederick is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-13 otherwise.

On the hitting side, JOHN DOMINO was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. CHARLIE MARSALA was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

St. Frederick hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.

St. Frederick's victory bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Franklin Parish, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, St. Frederick will head out to take on Ruston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Parish, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Family Community Christian on Monday.
