University's last matchup with The Linsly School could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. The Hawks lost 14-8 to the Cadets. Even though they lost, the Hawks' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Curtis Quarrick was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Colson Jenkins also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

University now has a losing record of 4-5. As for The Linsly School, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will venture away from home to face off against Morgantown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Mohigans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for The Linsly School, they will challenge Williamstown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
