Softball Recap: Gunderson Grizzlies vs. Independence 76ers        
        
		
            
 Gunderson put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season  on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Independence 76ers  a   15-0 shutout. The  win was familiar territory for Gunderson who now have five in a row.
  Alanna Martinez Poklong made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Martinez Poklong has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-3 with four  runs, four  RBI,  and a  triple.
 In other batting news, Gunderson got a  massive  performance out of  Desirae Regalado, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  stolen base. Regalado has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last five times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Breanna Bartek, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run and three  runs.
 Gunderson pushed their record up to 10-3 with that  victory, which was their third straight  at home. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Gunderson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  16-1  win vs. Hill on the 29th. As for Independence, they are on the road again  on Friday to play Overfelt at 4:00  p.m.
