Softball Game Preview: Kirby Trojans vs. Mount Ida Lions

For the first time this season, Kirby will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Mount Ida Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kirby is looking for their season's first win.

Kirby lost 14-4 to Caddo Hills on Monday.

Remmington Cowart was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Jena Brewer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Mount Ida got the win against Mountain Pine two weeks ago by a conclusive 10-2. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Kirby's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mount Ida, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
