Baseball Recap: Rocori Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Rocori's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to St. Cloud Cathedral on Tuesday. The Spartans walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Brainerd Warriors. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Noah Olmscheid, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Maddox, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win got Rocori back to even at 2-2. As for Brainerd, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rocori will square off against rival Fergus Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brainerd is set to challenge their familiar foe Alexandria at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
