Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wagoner). Their defense stepped up to hand the McLain Science & Tech Titans an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Wagoner, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Wagoner is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those six games. As for McLain Science & Tech, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wagoner will square off against rival Sallisaw at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Wagoner's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Sallisaw have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, McLain Science & Tech is set to challenge their familiar foe Victory Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
