Baseball Game Preview: Canyon Cougars vs. Clemens Buffaloes

The Canyon Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Clemens Buffaloes at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Canyon faced off against Johnson on Friday. Canyon took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Johnson. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Clemens waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 14-9 win over the Rattlers. That's two games straight that the Buffaloes have won by exactly five runs.

Clemens pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Canyon, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Canyon skirted past Clemens 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2019. Will Canyon repeat their success, or does Clemens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
