Baseball Recap: Portland Comes Up Short

Portland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the RHAM Raptors.

Portland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yandel Rivera, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Rivera has hit this season.

Portland now has a losing record of 4-5. As for RHAM, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Portland will be playing at home against North Branford at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for RHAM, they will challenge Southington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raptors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Knights have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
