Football Recap: Springfield's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Springfield extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. Everything went their way against the Station Camp Bison as they made off with a 55-35 victory. The Yellow Jackets pushed the score to 42-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bison cut but never quite recovered from.

Springfield was led to victory by Kason Woodson and Lamarious Dowlen. Woodson threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, while Dowlen rushed for 137 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. The dominant performance also gave Woodson a new career-high in passer rating (158.6).

Having lost for the first time this season, Station Camp fell to 3-1. They haven't had much luck with Springfield recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Station Camp lost, don't look at Eric Ginther. Despite the final result, he picked up 116 receiving yards and one TD.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 29-28 win against East Nashville Magnet on the 19th. As for Station Camp, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-29 loss against Lebanon on the 19th.
