Football Recap: Ada Comes Up Short

Ada extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 5-5. They were beaten by the Leipsic Vikings 47-14. The Bulldogs lost against the Vikings in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 30-22 score last time.

Blake Zoladz threw for 130 yards on 15 of 24 attempts. Gavin Oldfield was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards.

As for Leipsic, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average over those games.

Leipsic found their leader in sophomore Marc Kirkendall, who rushed for 59 yards and one score on only five carries, and also threw for 121 yards and one touchdown.

As of now, neither Ada nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
