Volleyball Recap: Northwest Christian Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Northwest Christian waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Valley Christian Trojans 3-0.

Northwest Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 27-25, 25-23.

Northwest Christian had a senior duo take command as Brooks Martin had 12 digs and three assists and Trace Martin had 18 assists and four digs. Trace has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more assists the last 18 times he's played.

Northwest Christian pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Christian will welcome Scottsdale Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Tan Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
