 The Shamokin Area Indians will head out on the road to  take on  the Mifflinburg Wildcats at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
 Mifflinburg is hoping to do  on Thursday what Milton couldn't  on Tuesday: put an end to Shamokin Area's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Everything went Shamokin Area's way against Milton as Shamokin Area made off with  a  12-2 victory.
  EMMA KURTZ made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. KURTZ was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  KENNEDY PETROVICH, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and a  double.  AUTUMN KEHLER was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Mifflinburg, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  on Monday. They put the hurt on Central Columbia with a sharp  10-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Mifflinburg, who have now won five contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Taylor Stewart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered one  run (which was  unearned)  on three hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Madison Fohringer was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Pachucki Anna, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
