Baseball Recap: Guymon Has No Trouble Against Forgan

Guymon entered their tilt with Forgan on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 26-10 margin over the Forgan Bulldogs. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Angelo Carrasco made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Carrasco was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Wyett Durbin was incredible, firing off two home runs, eight RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Christian, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances.

Guymon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .595. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Guymon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Forgan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Guymon will welcome El Reno at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forgan, they will head out to square off against Goodwell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
