Softball Game Preview: Winters Warriors vs. Willows Honkers

For the second straight game, Winters will face off against Willows. The Warriors will challenge the Honkers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winters is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-5 margin over Willows on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Honkers: they've now won three in a row.

Winters got a massive performance out of Erika Garcia, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Garcia has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Riley Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Winters was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .577. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Winters' win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Willows, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-20.
